PRACTICAL ACCESS & WALKING METHOD
Travel by road from Kaş to Üçağız, then by boat to Kaleköy. A land route also follows the Lycian Way towards the shipyard before branching to Simena; plan this uneven walk and the return in daylight.
HISTORY & ARCHITECTURAL CONTEXT
The castle above Kaleköy contains a small theatre with seven rows cut into the rock. Lycian sarcophagi stand along the shore and slopes; the partly submerged tomb and the opposite coast of Kekova reveal changes in sea level.
Why visit
See the castle, village and coast as one settlement.
VISITOR TIP — WHAT NOT TO MISS
Carry water before climbing the castle steps and settle the return boat time on the waterfront.
