Harbour walks, Lycian remains and coastal day trips
Harbour, tomb and theatre · 09:00–11:30 · Includes uphill stops

Walk from the old harbour to Uzun Çarşı and on to the open-air theatre facing the sea. Transfers allow for slopes and steps.
Patara and the western coast · 09:00–16:45 · Includes uphill stops

A vehicle day. Allow 60 minutes after Patara, lunch in Kalkan, 30 minutes to Kaputaş and 60 minutes back to Kaş.
Harbour and Uzun Çarşı · 17:00–18:20 · Includes uphill stops

Old harbour at 17:00, followed by Uzun Çarşı. On short November–February days, enjoy the shore view first and keep to lit central streets after dark.

Walk between central stops. The Patara–Kalkan–Kaputaş day needs a vehicle and time for the winding coast road. Arrange a separate boat or trail return for Simena.
Staying near the old harbour makes evening walks easy; rooms chosen for views in the upper neighbourhoods also mean a steep return.
Fish and seafood · Lunch break
Summer heat at Patara, waves at Kaputaş and return boats at Simena shape the day. In cooler months, favour ruins and street walks over swimming.

Plan to walk back from the theatre to the harbour.
Steep steps lead up to the castle; agree on the return boat’s departure point and time before leaving the waterfront.
Patara lies west and Simena east; do not squeeze both directions into one day.
Use two hours for the theatre and council-house area; adding the beach would delay lunch in Kalkan.
The return boat at Simena and seasonal closing at Patara shape the visit.
Include the descent and climb in the hour at the beach; if you swim, still keep the time set aside for returning to Kaş.
Leave an hour to return to Kaş after climbing the Kaputaş stairs.
Morning as the boats get going, or an evening walk through the centre.
Morning before the bazaar gets busy; daylight for examining the inscription.
In the cool morning or late afternoon while the seating is still in daylight.
